How It Started

Me and Mom

Luna and Trouble

It all begins with an idea, but sometimes it begins with a broken toe.

I stubbed my toe on my dogs paw and it changed everything.

My mother was living with me and I was her full time caregiver. She was living with and navigating Alzheimer’s Disease. We both were.

Breaking my toe and having to stay off it as much as possible, I began to play around with metal wire. Specifically copper wire that I had stripped out of some old cords!

I spent hours and hours practicing. Making jewelry was a way to escape and focus on something that brought a tremendous amount of creativity, serenity and joy.

My mom passed away in April. She was one of the brightest shining people I know and I miss her terribly. Luna, my 88 pound Great Dane mix does too.
